Best of 2007 Chart

By djeth - Posted on 22 February 2008

So as is common in the music world, we'll put together our top tracks of the past year. I figured I'd get on with this as well, so here are top tracks (and a few more) from 2007.
I have also made a mix of the top tracks, so make sure to check that out as well! (See Mixes section)

  1. Armand Van Helden - I Want Your soul
Just fucking good. Loved it here and heard it in England when I was clubbing in Manchester on Canal Street. Need I say more.

  2. Under the Influence of Giants - In the Clouds (Bimbo Jones Mile High Club Mix)
Great promo sent to me via DJ Cruze, HUGE thanks to him for it. This tune has been one of my top played. Featured in my Graduation Mix as well.

  3. Axwell - I Found U
Another great bass pounding/sweeping electro tune. Heard it both in England and here.

  4. Fedde Le Grand vs. Ida Corr - Let Me Think About It
It's an F-Bomb (that's Fedde Bomb), what more do I need to say?

  5. Sharam - P.A.T.T. (Party All the Time) [Cedric Gervais & Second Sun Remix]
When I first heard the big drop I knew it was an instant peak hour, electro BOMB.

  6. Rihanna - Umbrella (Haji & Emanuel Mix)
Huge air and club play this year. Good tune and a great remix by Haji & Emanuel.

  7. Harlem Hustlers - You Can Do it (Harlem Hustlers Club Mix)
Great tunes from the Hustlers this year. Also "Love Is The Answer" is a close 2nd to this track.

  8. Dirty Old Ann - Turn Me On (Freemasons Remix)
GREAT tune from Freemasons, WAY underplayed.

Some other big tunes for me this year were also (in no particular order):

  • Eric Prydz - Maddenferrys
Found this track when I was checking out a record shop in Manchester. Absolute Pryda gold.

  • Daft Punk - Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger (Deadmau5)
Great track made really gritty and hard hitting, love it.

  • Booty Luv - Boogie 2Nite (Seamus Haji Big Love Mix)
    Yay Seamus!

  • Seal - Amazing (Kaskade)
Kaskade (SF local!) gave us a nice filtered vocal here, big radio play.

Freemasons as a whole had a whole set of great tunes with Shakedown being released.
Overall I feel this was the first year when I really got the ball rolling with DJ'ing. I started off the year with doing a party at Quentin's place and the tune collection just grew from there. Here's to a great 2008!
